This week on the Book Club, we discuss The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson. When you live in a world that’s completely out of your control and where things don’t seem to ever go your way- it’s hard not to let it get to you sometimes. But maybe if we stopped caring so much, we’d be surprised at what we can accomplish by simply not giving a f*ck. In the book, Manson talks about how too often, we let the little things get to us. Whether it’s that one annoying friend who overshares on social media, the parent who’s just a little too critical, or the waiter who forgot your order. Whatever it is, we’re almost always better off just letting it go and not be a distraction in our own lives. This book is about being able to control the energy you give to certain people and situations and not allowing them to effect your mood and happiness. Once you realize you’re doing it, you’re less likely to give a f*ck about any of it.
